| Annual Nadiir King Home Run Derby
My WishRock was a Proud Supporter of Nadiir King and The First Annual Nadiir King Home Run Derby Contest held on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the Washington Township Baseball Complex.
Nadiir was a beloved student at Chestnut Ridge Middle School in Washington Township. He loved sports and was a member of Township's travel baseball and travel basketball teams. He passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2014 from an undiagnosed heart condition, called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). This condition is the leading cause of death in young athletes. The Home Run Derby honored Nadiir by celebrating his life, raising funds for college scholarships for Washington Township students and raising awareness of HCM. |
