About the Author

Dorette Rota Jackson

Most recently, Dorette served as a marketing communications executive for an international pharmaceutical research company. She has been in the communications field for the past 20 years. An award-winning journalist and creative director, her background includes news reporting and editing, retail communications, nonprofit communications, corporate marketing and communications consulting. She has a B.A. in Journalism from Temple University and is the mother of two children, Jade and Brett.

Lisa Raho has been a creative director and illustrator for more than 15 years. During that time, she designed an award-winning corporate magazine and developed corporate identity campaigns for numerous small businesses throughout the region. Lisa's passion for children's illustration began during her years at Moore College of Art. Her first works in that industry graced the covers of several children's music CDs. She has always dreamed of illustrating a children's book. When the wonderful story of My WishRock came along, she knew it was the perfect story to illustrate and make her own dreams come true.
